It retails for $14.99 U.S. on the Ulta website. Just so you’re aware it’s not a completely full tube of product, but either way, you’re getting more product in the newer version than you did in the old. not really sure… I will say though that the tube looks really large, but I did have to shake and give it a good squeeze to get the product out. 68 oz, the Maybelline website doesn’t mention it, and the tube itself says: 1 oz. And there seems to be a bit of confusion on how much you get in the new one… Ulta’s website advertises it as. But if you have the older version, and are happy with it, I think you would be fine to use it up before purchasing this newer version. The newer version (Instant Age Rewind Perfector 4-in-1) felt a touch silkier gliding on. I put this to the test by gliding on a swatch of the older version next to the new. So, what’s is the difference between this version of their whipped matte makeup, and the older version (Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse”)? The kind where your freckles can still peek through, but somehow your overall complexion still appears more even-toned and polished. Again, I was reminded of how easy-peasy this formula can be, as I was joyfully applying my blush on top, without it “sticking” to a wet foundation. The kind where you don’t need to use powder (unless you’re very oily?) before applying your other products on top. “Mattifies?” Yes! In fact, what I love about this is that it dries down to a “soft” matte finish. So, in order to truly disguise my acne, I had to go in afterward with concealer on the individual spots. I guess technically it covered the blemishes (a bit.) But keep in mind this is a light coverage foundation. Unfortunately, I was able to really put this to the test, as my skin has been breaking out lately. I haven’t worn this type of makeup in several years, but as I glided the formula over my cheeks, I was reminded of why I used to enjoy it so much. In fact, it almost looks like you’re using a tinted version of Benefit’s “The Porefessional” primer. Maybelline’s Previous Version of Whipped Foundation “ Whipped lightweight texture?” Yup! And the good news is you no longer need to stick your fingers into a jar to get it, as it now comes in a hygienic-friendly squeeze tube. I don’t recall seeing any other drugstore brands lately that still make this type of foundation, therefore, I’m glad that Maybelline is still producing the unique formula (albeit in a new way…more on that later…) Do I agree with what they say about it? It was quite the fad if I remember correctly in the mid 00’s, and several drugstore brands had their own version of the whipped spongy makeup that came in a jar. They apply faster than any other type of foundation, you don’t need to use anything other than your fingers, and (when I was younger, and less wrinkly) they gave my skin a smooth and even tone. Maybelline’s Claims about their New Product:Īs I disclose in my video review (below,) I used to be a HUGE fan of the whipped-type foundations. Don’t want to read all the details?
